Vice President Kamala Harris announces economic boost in Brooklyn

NEW YORK -- Vice President Kamala Harris was in Brooklyn on Thursday to discuss the administration's investment in underserved communities and small businesses. 

Harris toured the Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation Economic Solutions Center and announced more than 20 private-sector organizations are joining the administration to increase opportunity in low-income communities. 

"These organizations with us will invest tens of billions of dollars to provide capital to community lenders, to support entrepreneurship, in particular for women-owned and minority-owned businesses," Harris said. 

Thursday evening, the vice president is attending a fundraising event in Suffolk County
