'One Of The Luckiest Guys In The World': North Brunswick's Vic Miller Wins CBS Local's Bracket Challenge
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- "Lady luck was on my side."
That's what Vic Miller of North Brunswick, New Jersey, told CBS New York on Thursday after winning CBS Local's Bracket Challenge.
Miller was one of more than 29,000 participants who signed up for the challenge. His Final Four included Villanova, Kansas, North Carolina and Xavier, with the Wildcats winning it all.
Miller got a big assist from Kris Jenkins, who drained the game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer against UNC to give the national championship to 'Nova.
"I just went crazy," Miller said, describing the scene as Jenkins' legendary shot went in.
Miller won a $5,000 American Express gift card from the Bracket Challenge. He said his wife wants to do some traveling.
"I honestly don't know, but my wife's talking about a little vacation. I think we're going to splurge and go on vacation," Miller said.
Miller summed up winning by saying, "I'm one of the luckiest guys in the world."
