United Airlines Flight Aborts Takeoff At Newark Airport

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A United Airlines flight had to abort takeoff at Newark Airport because of landing gear damage.
Port Authority police say they had to evacuate 44 passengers and three crew members from the Christmas Eve flight after the tires exploded on the left landing gear. It also damaged the left engine.
No one was hurt.
