Trump Points Out That Supporter Said Cruz Is 'A P***y' At New Hampshire Rally

MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBSNewYork) -- Donald Trump chastised a person who called Republican presidential rival Ted Cruz a "p***y" at a rally in New Hampshire Monday night, but went on to repeat the word as he quoted the supporter.

The comment came during a campaign rally in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Trump was talking about Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton and fellow Republican candidate Jeb Bush slamming his "tone" when he pivoted to the Texas senator. The billionaire told the audience he was shocked that Cruz didn't fully support waterboarding.

At that point, a woman in the crowd was heard calling Cruz a p***y.

"She just said a terrible thing. You know what she said? Shout it out," Trump told the woman.

He continued, "You're not allowed to say and I never expect to hear that from you again… she said he's a p***y. That's terrible, terrible! What kind of people do I have here?"

Despite the language, the audience roared.

Both Trump and Cruz have been getting into a war of words following last week's Iowa caucus.

This isn't the first time Trump cursed during his rallies.

Just last week in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Trump said U.S. companies that have relocated overseas can go "f*** themselves," and that China is "ripping the s*** out of the sea."

As CBS2 Political Reporter Marcia Kramer reported, the remark may have overshadowed Trump's intended message at the rally.

"Tomorrow, you have to get out and you have to vote, no matter what," he said. "This is sort of our final love fest."

Trump holds a commanding lead in New Hampshire ahead of Tuesday night's primary.

Ahead in the polls, Trump pulled out all the stops, appearing with his wife Melania and pregnant daughter Ivanka.

"We, together, we will make America great again," Melania Trump said.

For many of the other Republican candidates, the results in New Hampshire could mean the end of their presidential dreams. Earlier, the animosity between Trump and contender Jeb Bush was intense.

"Donald Trump, you're the loser," Bush said.

New Jersey Gov. Christie talked about people making up their minds at the last minute.

"What are the stores like on Christmas Eve in New Hampshire?" Christie said. "It must be hell on wheels here, man."

On the Democratic side, Bernie Sanders was savoring his double-digit lead over Hillary Clinton. He had a message for the top 1 percent of income earners.

"Yes, you are going to have to start paying your fair share of taxes," Sanders said to cheers.

Meanwhile, Clinton rallied with husband Bill and daughter Chelsea.
