Tribeca Film Festival Starts Rolling Wednesday

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- This year's Tribeca Film Festival will be even bigger than usual, with virtual reality experiences, a celebration of Monty Python and more.

The festival starts Wednesday and runs through April 26.

On opening night, the festival will screen the documentary "Live from New York," about 40 years of "Saturday Night Live." Many past and present "SNL" cast members will attend, and Ludacris will perform afterward.

"We really have a diverse slate of films for every kind of taste (and) of course sort of big red carpet premieres," Cara Cusumano, senior programmer for the festival, told CBS2's Diane Macedo.

Among the other highlights, Ethan Hawke and January Jones will present their film "Good Kill." "Maggie" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Abigail Breslin will also be screened.

On the documentary side, the film will showcase "Roseanne for President" featuring Roseanne Barr and "The London Sessions" about Mary J. Blige recording her most recent album. Blige will also perform.
