Tops Markets hold moment of silence to remember victims of Buffalo mass shooting
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A moment of silence was observed Saturday for the victims of the Buffalo mass shooting.
Church bells near the Tops Market rank 13 times for the 10 people killed and three wounded in last weekend's white supremacist attack.
It's been one week since the innocent shoppers and workers lost their lives.
After the moment of silence, Buffalo's mayor spoke from the steps of City Hall.
"Let us use this hateful act in Buffalo to reaffirm our deep commitment to the simple notion of respect and love for all humanity," Mayor Byron Brown said.
Through multiple charities, more than $1 million has been raised for family members of the victims.
