Woman Arrested Trying To Light Molotov Cocktail In Times Square
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 24-year-old woman was arrested in Times Square on Friday night after she tried to light what appeared to be a Molotov cocktail, police say.
Ludivine Baugier DeChevestre, of Greenwich, Connecticut, tried to set fire to a rag stuffed inside of a glass bottle filled with liquid, police said. Officers saw her and wrestled the bottle from her hands.
Police said she was undergoing a psychiatric evaluation at Mount Sinai West Hospital.
DeChevestre was charged with reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and placing of a bomb.
