The Rock: 'I Haven't Ruled Politics Out,' Thought Of Being President Is 'Alluring'

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Does the White House smell what The Rock is cooking?

In an interview with British GQ, the actor and WWE superstar said a career in politics could be appealing to him.

"I'll be honest, I haven't ruled politics out. I'm not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure," Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson said.

Johnson said the thought of being governor, or even president, is "alluring."

"And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people's lives on a global scale," Johnson told British GQ. "But there are a lot of other things I want to do first."

It wouldn't be unprecedented that an actor and wrestler would grapple with politics.

Former WWE superstar Jesse "The Body" Ventura was elected governor of Minnesota in 1998. Action movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger was the former governor of California. And before he was president of the United States and the governor of California, Ronald Reagan was a well-known actor.
