Black Friday weather brings coldest air of the season into Tri-State Area
NEW YORK -- While it certainly wasn't the wettest, coldest, or even snowiest Thanksgiving ever, we did pick up some decent rainfall around the region.
Some locations received over an inch of rain, which will definitely help to chip away at the ongoing drought. Brisk winds replaced the rain, bringing windchills in the 20s overnight.
Black Friday forecast
Black Friday starts off bright, but by the afternoon, more clouds will come into play. A stray shower or flurry is even possible. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 40s, but a continuous breeze, with gusts up to 30 mph will make it feel more like the 30s.
The coldest air of the season so far is then expected to filter into the region by the weekend. During this time, highs will struggle to get out of the 30s. However, no accumulating precipitation is expected.
