Suspect Sought In String Of Robberies In Harlem

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police late Monday named a suspect in three gunpoint robberies and one attempted robbery in Harlem last month.

Jamal Williams, 34, was identified as the suspect in the robberies that happened between Sept. 13 and Sept. 19. Police have released his photo.

The robberies happened at the following times and locations.

• At 1 a.m. Sept. 13 at Lexington Avenue and 121st Street;

• At 1:15 p.m. Sept. 16 inside 15 W. 139th St. (attempted robbery);

• At 7:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at Fifth Avenue and 138th Street;

• At 11:20 a.m. Sept. 19 inside 50 W. 139th St.

In each incident, the suspect displayed a firearm and demanded property, police said. He made off with an iPhone and a Samsung Galaxy in the incidents.
