Suspect smashed subway window with hammer, injured conductor during argument in the Bronx, NYPD says

Police searching for man accused of attacking MTA conductor with hammer

NEW YORK -- Police are searching for a man accused of attacking an MTA conductor in the Bronx.

They released surveillance video on Sunday.

They say the suspect got out of a 5 train at the East 138th Street/Grand Concourse station on June 24, approached the 42-year-old female conductor's window, and starting hitting it with a hammer.

The glass broke and a shard hit her face, causing her to suffer a laceration.

Police say an argument between the two led up to the attack.
