Man Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash In East Patchogue

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in East Patchogue Sunday morning.

Suffolk County Police said 64-year-old Warren Karstendick was walking on the eastbound shoulder of Main Street when he was struck by a vehicle around 6:55 a.m.

The driver fled the scene in his vehicle.

Karstendick was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a 2002 to 2005 blue Ford Explorer with noticeable front-end damage, specifically to the hood and grill.
