NYPD: Man accused of stabbing subway rider on the loose

NEW YORK -- Police are looking for a man accused of stabbing a subway rider in the face with a screwdriver just before midnight on Sunday on a northbound R train approaching 25th Street in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

Investigators say the 37-year-old victim was stabbed after he tried to intervene when the suspect began arguing with the woman he was with.

The victim got off at the station and was taken to NYU Langone to be treated for his injuries.

The suspect and the woman remained on the train.
