NYPD: Man Shooting BB Gun Near Bronx School Hits 10-Year-Old Sitting In Class
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man has been arrested after a 10-year-old student was hit in the arm by a BB pellet gun while sitting in a classroom in the Bronx on Wednesday.
According to police, the 10-year-old girl was struck in the left arm while she was sitting in class at P.S. 63 in Morrisania at around 1:30 p.m.
The child was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital where she was treated and released.
The NYPD says Anfernee Olivio, 19, was shooting bottles off a nearby roof, and was arrested in connection to the incident.
Olivio is facing criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment charges.
