Stephen Colbert Announces First 'Late Show' Guest

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- George Clooney will be the first guest when the "Late Show" with Stephen Colbert premieres September 8.
Colbert tweeted the news Friday.
George Clooney will be my first-ever #LSSC guest on September 8th! Could one of you let him know?

Colbert is taking over for David Letterman who hosted the late night show for 33 years.
Letterman's last show was May 20.
Clooney was one of Dave's last guests.
