Start Tweeting! Super Bowl Debates To Light Up Empire State Building
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Not sure which team has the edge in Super Bowl XLVIII?
Just look up.
The Empire State Building is teaming up with Verizon ahead of Sunday's Denver-Seattle matchup for what's being touted as "the first-ever social media-driven" light show.
Here's what will happen: Each day starting Monday, Verizon will ask a question on Twitter related to the Feb. 2 game. Responses with the hashtag #WhosGonnaWin will be monitored, and lighting guru Marc Brickman will transform the debate "into a spectacular nightly show" atop the iconic Manhattan skyscraper, according to ESBNYC.com.
Hall of Fame running back Curtis Martin described the process Monday on WFAN's "Boomer & Carton" show live from M&M's World in Times Square.
"It's the fans' votes, their tweets, that will light up the Empire State Building," Martin said, "which I think is a really cool idea."

Martin, who serves on the NY/NJ Super Bowl Host Committee Board of Trustees, knows a little something about Monday's topic. It was his dominance on the ground that ultimately led to a spot in Canton -- and his jersey being retired by the Jets in 2012.
"Fans are going to vote who they think is going to win the running game," Martin said.
The hour-long light show will start at 6 p.m.
MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. will host Super Bowl XLVIII between the Broncos and Seahawks.
