Skin Care Tips And Tricks To Make Your Wedding Day A Beautiful Memory

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Wedding season has arrived and every girl wants to be a blushing bride on her big day, but no one wants that blushing to be the result of embarrassment over bad skin.

CBS 2's Alex Denis recently spoke with experts who weighed in with tips that can help you look perfect when you walk down the aisle.

With her wedding day approaching Jillian had some concerns.

"I'm really concerned about uneven skin tone, and some blemishes I have, and the size of my pores," she said.

From uneven skin tone, to blemishes, and pores, brides have plenty to stress about. Luckily there are some tried and true tricks that can help you achieve a smooth complexion on your big day.

Dermatologist, Dr. Kavita Mariwalla suggested starting a skin care routine as early as possible, and using a sunscreen with an SPF of 50.

"There are some really nice products, one is called Anthelios by La Roche Posay, it's actually tinted, so you don't have to worry about looking like you have a fake tan when you have a natural tint that's also protecting you," she explained.

Experts also recommended having a spot treatment on hand in case an uninvited guest decides to show up.

"Get a prescription strength steroid cream to apply and within 24 hours a lot of the inflammation and redness will go away," Dr. Mariwalla explained.

Every bride wants to have a nice glow, while not looking greasy. There is one over the counter product that costs less than $30 which helps achieve a shine free, long-lasting look.

"There is a product called OC 8 which previously was only available in physician's offices, but is now available at Ulta. It will as the name implies, keep you nice and matte for eight hours," Dr. Mariwalla said.

Dr. Mariwalla also suggested getting a deep cleansing hydrofacial a week before the wedding.

Finally, Dove Reduction Deodorant will give you the peace of mind that you need to dance the night away.
