Police Search For Woman Who Pushed 88-Year-Old Woman To Ground In Sheepshead Bay

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Sunday were looking for a suspect who attacked an 88-year-old woman and pushed her to the ground in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.

Around 5 p.m. this past Friday, the female suspect came up to the victim from behind as she stood in front of Ester's Deli, at 3664 Nostrand Ave., police said.

The woman pushed the victim to the ground and ran off, police said.

The older woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with fractured wrists, but her condition was stable, police said.

The suspect was described as a black or Hispanic female with a dark-colored ponytail and glasses. She was last seen wearing a gray hat, a white T-shirt, a gray sweatshirt, a beige sweater and brown work boots.

Police released a photo believed to be the suspect.
