Saxophonist, Father Of Sandy Hook Victim Releases CD Tribute To Daughter
NEWTOWN, Conn. (CBSNewYork) -- The father of a Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victim is honoring his daughter through music.
Jimmy Greene, a saxophonist, wrote and arranged the CD, "Beautiful Life" in memory of his daughter, Ana Marquez-Greene, who was killed on Dec. 14, 2012.
Greene will perform his songs during a three-night run at the Jazz Standard in Manhattan beginning Thursday, WCBS 880's Peter Haskell reported.
"Writing music specific to my little girl brings back all these bittersweet memories of all the time we spent together," Greene said.
"I'm grateful that I am a musician and do have music to communicate feelings and thoughts and emotions that words just can't."

The process wasn't easy.
"Concentrated periods of thinking about her and writing lyrics about her brings forth a lot of tears and a lot of pain," Greene said.
Ana was 6 and loved music.
"I really miss her," her father said. "I miss her dearly, every moment of every day."
