4/9 CBS2 Saturday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre

CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

What a gloomy day it was across the area with clouds, chilly temps, and a wintry mix of rain abd snow. We'll have clearing and drying overnight, but the winds will pick up and temperatures will drop below freezing for all. Freeze alerts are in effect overnight, so bring in any sensitive plants, and be careful of any slick spots on the roads!

Tomorrow will be nicer overall -- dry conditions, more sunshine, and temps warming into the upper 40s...but still well below normal for this time of year. One thing that will help us out will be winds swinging around from a chilly northwest to a warmer southwest.

Monday & Tuesday will finally see temps warming up closer to normal levels in the upper 50s, but we get that with more rain. Some flakes may mix in early Monday morning, but won't last long. Better bet for rain looks like Tuesday, and it will be windy as well.

Long story short, don't put the umbrella away -- have a good night!
