Saddle Brook Officials Issue Boil Water Advisory

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. (CBSnewYork) -- A boil water advisory was in effect for Saddle Brook on Thursday night.

Officials say the water supply is contaminated with two types of bacteria, E. coli and fecal coliform, CBS 2 reported. The problem should be fixed by Friday night.

Until then, residents should boil water for three minutes, then let it cool before drinking, cooking, washing dishes or brushing teeth.

The cause of the contamination is under investigation.
