NJ Lawmakers Mull Plan To Spend $125-Million On Athletic Facility Upgrade At Rutgers

TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Lawmakers in New Jersey are considering spending more money on Rutgers sports.

As WCBS-880's Peter Haskell reported, the plan is to spend $125-million to upgrade athletic facilities, $25-million would come from the state.

Lesniak said the project would bring in money for the state.

"This is a revenue raiser," he said.

The bill is expected to pass the assembly, and go to the governor on Monday.
