Car, Motorcycle Crash Snags Route 17 In Ramsey, N.J.

RAMSEY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A crash partially shut down southbound Route 17 in Ramsey, New Jersey Friday afternoon.

The crash happened in the late afternoon on southbound Route 27 at Lake Street in the Bergen County borough, Joe Biermann reported from Chopper 2.

Injuries were reported in the accident, and a major investigation was under way during the 5 p.m. hour.

All southbound lanes of Route 17 were closed at the scene, Biermann reported.

Southbound Route 17 was closed at the scene, and bumper-to-bumper delays were seen for miles. It even took 20 minutes for an ambulance to arrive, Biermann reported.

The Garden State Parkway was advised as an alternative.
