Rockland Man Accused Of Attacking Roommate With Metal Bar

MONSEY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- An assault at an adult home in Rockland County left a man hospitalized with serious injuries and his roommate behind bars.

At around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday Ramapo police were called to the New Monsey Park Home for Adults on a report of a man lying in a pool of blood, 1010 WINS reported.

Police said it appeared the man had been struck several times with a metal bar. He was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was found to have sustained lacerations to his face and ear, a broken jaw, a broken orbital socket, and broken wrist.

The man's roommate, 56-year-old Patrick Brady, was arrested on charges of assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Brady was arraigned in the Town of Ramapo Court and bail was set at $50,000. He was remanded to the Rockland County Jail after being unable to post bail.
