Police: 84-Year-Old Man Injured In Queens Robbery
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are trying to identify an individual wanted for questioning in connection to a Queens robbery that left a man injured.
It happened around 7:45 a.m. Sunday in front of 43-14 60th Street in Woodside.
The victim, 84-year-old Oliver Neligan, says he was on his way to church when someone grabbed him from behind and tried to steal his wallet.
Neligan says he fought back by throwing his cup of coffee at the attacker. The two wrestled and fell to the ground, causing Neligan to hit his head.
The suspect took the victim's glasses and ran away.
Neligan was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. He is expected to be OK.
