Police: Women Sought For Stealing $2K In Merchandise From Commack TJ Maxx

COMMACK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Long Island are trying to identify two women who they said stole thousands of dollars in merchandise from a store in Commack last year.

It happened back on Dec. 15 at a TJ Maxx on Jericho Turnpike.

Suffolk County police said the women stole more than $2,000 worth of clothing, handbags and outerwear from the store and then fled in a gold Honda Accord.

Surveillance video from the store shows the women holding handfuls of merchandise as they take off running into the parking lot.

Police are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
