Police: Suspects Attacked Conductor On L Train In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Tuesday were searching for two suspects in an attack on a subway conductor in East New York, Brooklyn.

Around 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, the 49-year-old female victim, who worked as a New York City Transit train conductor, was traveling in the middle of an outbound L Train with her head out the window doing safety checks, police said.

One of the suspects punched the woman in the back of the head, police said.

When the motorman halted the train after the attack, the second suspect also punched the woman in the back of the head, police said.

The woman was treated for a minor injury at an area hospital, police said.

The suspects were boys, both believed to be about 16 years old.
