Police Seek Third Suspect In Shooting That Killed Newark College Student
NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Tuesday were asking the public to help identify a third suspect in a shooting that killed a Newark college student in December.
Early on the morning of December 21, Reginald Terry, 18, was shot and killed at a party near 260 Washington St. in Newark.
A second person was shot and suffered non-life threatening injuries, the Essex County Prosecutors Office said.
On New Year's Eve, police arrested Damiar Pendergrass, 18, in Irvington, and Raquan Langford, 19, in Newark. Both were charged with murder, conspiracy, possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Police as of Tuesday were still seeking a third man shown in a photo exiting the building at the Washington Street address, which is known as the LOFT. The man was believed to be a light-skinned black male standing 5 feet 4 to 5 feet 5 inches tall.
Anyone with information was asked to call the Essex County Prosecutor's Office tips line at (877) 847-7432. The Sheriff's office Crimestoppers program was offering up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
