Police Seek Help Locating Family Of Hospitalized Hit-And-Run Victim
NEWYORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are asking the public's help in identifying a man struck by a hit-and-run driver in East Harlem Thursday.
Around 5 p.m., a man in his 20s was on a bicycle when he was hit by a by a Ford Escape at the corner of 104th Street and Lexington Avenue, police said.
The driver fled the scene, police said.
The victim, who police have tentatively identified as Jose Carrilla-Guadalupe, was believed to be a deliveryman from a local restaurant who was returning to work, 1010 WINS reported.
EMS then transported Carrilla-Guadalupe to Cornell Hospital, where he remains in critical condition with severe head trauma.
He is described as a 20-year-old Hispanic male, approximately 5'4" and 165 lbs.
