Police Seek Driver In Bronx Hit-And-Run That Injured Boy

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are asking the public for help in finding the driver involved in a hit-and-run in the Bronx.

Last Saturday, police said a gray Mazda CX-9 heading south on Logan Avenue toward Dewey Avenue struck a 12-year-old boy who was running on the street opposite 518 Logan Ave.

The male driver of the Mazda stopped to check on the boy, but then left without reporting the incident, police said.

The boy sustained serious injuries and was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Police described the suspect as a black male, about 30 years old, between 200-220 pounds, with a light complexion and short curly black hair and a receding hair line.
