Burglars Accused Of Breaking Into 8 Homes In Astoria, Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Police are searching for a pair of thieves accused of breaking into at least eight homes in Queens.

The burglaries took place between June 5 and July 12 in Astoria, generally between 33rd and 45th streets and Broadway and 25th avenues.

Surveillance video from the latest incident shows two men wearing baseball caps casually walk to the front of a house. They linger for a moment.

Then, a man wearing a dark shirt appears to break into the front door, while the other man appears to act as a lookout.

Police said the suspects took cash or jewelry from each home before running away.
