Police: Man Tried To Rob TriBeCa Bank, Left Empty-Handed
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were searching Monday night for a suspect who tried to hold up a bank in TriBeCa last month.
The robbery happened around 3:35 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, police said.
The suspect walked into the Valley National Bank at 90 Franklin St., and passed a note to the teller demanding money, police said.
The teller did not hand over anything, and the suspect left, police said.
The suspect was about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 150 pounds, police said. Police have released a surveillance photo.
