Police: Man Stole Chain From Wheelchair-Bound Victim's Neck In Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were searching Tuesday for a suspect who allegedly ripped off a chain from a 50-year-old man in a wheelchair in Flushing, Queens.

The male suspect walked up to the victim in front of 142-41 Franklin Ave. in Queens around 4:15 p.m. Monday, police said. He put his hand on the victim's shoulder and snatched the chain from his neck, police said.

The suspect then fled west on Franklin Avenue, police said.

Police have released a surveillance image of the suspect.
