Police: Man shot on MTA bus was unintended target
NEW YORK - A man was shot on board an MTA bus Tuesday night in Brooklyn.
It happened around 10:20 p.m. near Empire Boulevard and Rogers Avenue in Prospect Lefferts Garden.
The victim told police he was riding a B-44 bus when a man and woman got on and walked past him. The victim said he heard a single shot and realized he was hit in the rear end.
Police said the gunman and his female accomplice ran out the back door and fled north on Rogers Avenue.
The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
He said there were no words exchanged before the shooting.
