Police: Man Held Up Crown Heights Deli At Gunpoint

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Tuesday were trying to identify a suspect who held up a deli at gunpoint in Crown Heights, Brooklyn last week.

Around 12:30 a.m. this past Thursday, the suspect walked into the deli at 689A Nostrand Ave., where he brandished a gun and demanded money from the 31-year-old male employee, police said.

The worker handed over about $350, police said. No injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as a black male standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds, with a medium skin complexion. He was last seen wearing a gray hat, brown boots, a black waist-length jacket, and a blue backpack.

Police have released surveillance photos and video.
