Police: Man Burglarized 2 High-End Madison Avenue Boutiques In 15 Minutes
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Saturday were asking the public for help in finding a burglar who struck two high-end boutiques on the Upper East Side.
The thief first struck around 12:10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at the Roberto Cavalli store at 711 Madison Ave., police said. The suspect walked in through a side door and took $270 from the cash register, police said.
The thief struck a second time just 15 minutes later at the Berluti men's shoe and boot store at 677 Madison Ave., police said. He took $20 from a cash register and leather merchandise from the store, police said.
In the second incident, the suspect forced a door open, police said.
Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect.
