Police Looking For Man Who Tried To Rob Harlem Bank

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The NYPD is asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a man suspected of attempting to rob a Harlem bank.

Police say the suspect passed the bank teller at Chas eBank on 8 Avenue a note demanding money. When the teller refused, the suspect took off.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 5-foot-10, last seen wearing glasses, a black jacket and a hat saying "New York" on it.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. You can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or texting tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
