Police: L.I. Man Arrested For Stabbing Man With Broken Beer Bottle

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing another man with a broken beer bottle.

Police said Reginald Bonelli, 29, got into a fight with a 23-year-old man at a mutual friend's house on Powell Avenue in Central Islip around 1 a.m. Monday.

During the fight, Bonelli stabbed the man in the neck with a broken beer bottle, police said.

The victim suffered a severe laceration to the neck and was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition, police said.

Bonelli was charged with second-degree assault and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Central Islip.
