Police: High school student killed after collision with NICE bus in Old Westbury
OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. -- Police in Nassau County are investigating a fatal accident involving a bus.
Hasan Suleman, a 17-year-old high school student, died after driving his BMW over a median and into a bus Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Suleman was driving northbound on Glen Cove Road and hit a Nassau Inter-County Express bus head-on near I U Willets Road in Old Westbury, according to police.
No passengers were aboard the bus, but the driver was taken to the hospital.
Police interviewed the bus driver and other witnesses to try to get an idea what caused the accident.
