Police: Boy, 15, Killed While Trying To Jump Between Roofs In Crown Heights
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 15-year-old boy was killed Thursday afternoon when he tried to jump from one rooftop to another in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, police said.
The boy, identified as Tyrek Riley, was trying to jump from the roof of 1153 President St. in Brooklyn, police said. He did not make it, and he fell four stories to the ground, police told 1010 WINS.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Police said it did not appear that anything criminal was going on or that he was being chased.
It appeared that he had been playing a game of tag, police said.
