Police: 4 Suspects Robbed Uber Driver In Crown Heights
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were searching Tuesday for four suspects who robbed an Uber service driver in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
The 29-year-old man driving the Uber car picked up three of the suspects near the Albany Houses public housing development, police said. The fourth suspect was picked up in the downtown Brooklyn area, police said.
At the rear of a building nearby at 80 Schenectady Ave., one of the suspects took out a black firearm, forcibly removed the Uber driver from his black 2013 Lexus ES350, and took his cellphone and $270, police said.
All of the suspects fled the scene.
The suspects were all described as black males between the ages of 18 and 22. Police have released surveillance photos of the three suspects picked up in the Albany Houses.
