Police: 2 Men Robbed Howard Beach Travel Agency, Tied Up Staff
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Friday were asking for assistance from the public in finding two suspects who held up a travel agency at gunpoint, and tied up the employees, in Howard Beach, Queens.
Around 9:45 a.m. Friday, the suspects – both of them carrying firearms, stormed into Liberty Travel at 156-40 Cross Bay Blvd. in Queens, police said. They ordered the six employees to the back of the store, police said.
In the back, the suspects zip-tied the employees and demanded to know where the safe was, police said. The suspects found the safe and took an undetermined amount of money, as well as the employees' own money and phones, police said.
No injuries were reported.
Police have released surveillance photos of the suspects.
