Police: 13-year-old Jamoure Harrell dies after being shot in head on Staten Island
NEW YORK -- A 17-year-old was taken into custody in connection with the shooting of a 13-year-old boy on Staten Island.
Police said that last Friday, 13-year-old Jamoure Harrell was with friends on the basketball court at the Stapleton Houses when two shots were fired toward that group.
One bullet hit Harrell. He died Monday of his injuries.
There's no word on a motive in the shooting.
Police said tips from the community led to the arrest.
