LISTEN: Peter Schrager Says Packers Should Bounce Back
NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Don't count out the Packers just yet, says Peter Schrager.
Green Bay is 1-1, and some are now questioning whether quarterback Aaron Rodgers' best days are behind him.
But in an interview Friday with WFAN's Mike Francesa, Schrager, the FoxSports.com reporter and co-host of NFL Network's "Good Morning Football," noted that the Packers played their final two preseason games on the road before opening at Jacksonville and at Minnesota.
"You also have a team that's been on the road, tired, ready to go and now after this game, they'll hit their high gear," Schrager said.
The Packers will play their home opener Sunday against the Lions, who will be without defensive end Ziggy Ansah, linebacker DeAndre Levy and running back Ameer Abdullah.
"All things are in the Packers' favor," Schrager said. "If they can't get it done on Sunday, there are serious concerns."
