Grandmother, 12-year-old grandson critically injured after being struck by driver on Long Island

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. -- Police say two pedestrians were rushed to a local hospital after they were struck by a driver in Farmingdale.

It happened just before 3 p.m. Friday at Main and Fulton streets.

Nassau County Police say an 80-year-old driver struck a 69-year-old woman and her 12-year-old grandson.

Both victims were taken to local hospitals in critical condition.

The driver did stay on the scene.
