2 Pedestrians Hurt After Cars Crash In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Two pedestrians were seriously injured after a car crash in Brooklyn Wednesday morning.
The accident took place at around 10:30 a.m. at Pennsylvania and Cozine avenues in East New York.
Authorities said a woman making a left turn lost control of her car, striking two pedestrians and a livery sedan before coming to a stop a half-block away, 1010 WINS' Mona Rivera reported.
A witness, named Amir, said a female pedestrian was dragged and pinned under the car.
He and other bystanders tried to help her.
"She wasn't conscious so we weren't sure if she was alive, we just saw her legs and knew it was bad," Amir said. "If you see the jack underneath the car, we actually tried to jack the car up and noticed that we were dragging her as we jacked it up so we stopped."
"The lady was horrified. She was traumatized and in shock," another witness said.
The woman was rushed to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition. Another pedestrian was also taken there in serious condition.
Four other people in the cars suffered minor injuries.
The driver remained at the scene. At this point, no criminality is suspected, Rivera reported.
