Crews Battle 6-Alarm Multi-Building Fire In Paterson

PATERSON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Crews battled a fire that spread to several buildings in Paterson on Saturday night.
Multiple fire companies responded to the scene of the six-alarm blaze on Beech Street.
PLFD Chief 55 and ladder 52 responding to Paterson 6 alarm fire on 81 Beech St. Several houses fully involved.

According to Hawthorne Fire Company #2, the fire spread to at least six buildings.
Tower 2 is currently operating on scene of a 6 alarm fire in at least 6 buildings in Paterson.

CBS2 has learned a total of 56 people were displaced.
More than 100 firefighters from several towns worked to get the flames under control.
No one was hurt.
Officials said it is unclear what caused the fire.
