Police Search For Robber Who Struck Bank In Patchogue

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday were searching for a suspect who held up a bank in the middle of the afternoon in Patchogue.

The suspect walked into the Capital One Bank at 116 E. Main St. in Patchogue around 2 p.m. Monday and presented a note demanding cash, police said.

The teller complied, and the man ran off through the parking lot on an easterly direction, police said.

The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic male about 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a blue hooded jacket, dark pants, dark gloves and dark sunglasses, polive said.
