3 Injured When Paratransit Van Strikes Scaffolding On Upper East Side
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Three people suffered minor injuries Monday evening when an Access-a-Ride van struck scaffolding on the Upper East Side.
The paratransit vehicle for the disabled -- also called an ambulette -- was involved in a collision with a second paratransit vehicle, police said.
The first vehicle then struck the scaffolding at 70th Street and York Avenue, police said.
Three people in the van were hospitalized for minor injuries, the FDNY said.
