Father, Son Injured In Gunpoint Robbery In Ozone Park
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A father as shot and his son was injured during an early morning robbery at their business in Queens.
Now, police say they're looking for several men dressed in suits who ran from the building.
As CBS2's Alice Gainer reported, cops were still on the scene investigating and had the corner and street taped off at 101st Ave.
They're looking for three men who shot a business owner in the head, leaving him in critical condition.
Police said just before 10:30 Monday morning, three men entered 98-21 101st Ave in an attempt to rob the business.
Sources said a 53-year-old man was shot in the head, and his son was also injured. Neighboring businesses said the father and son ran a wholesale distribution company out of the place.
"They pass by the store. Hello, good morning, very nice, simple people," Nitesh Singh said.
Police are now looking for three men wearing dress suits.
They said the suspects took off in a black Nissan Altima and were last seen on 99th Street.
Shocked business owners and neighbors can't believe what happened.
"Very bad, sad. You know, very, very sad. I'm so sorry for the people. You never know, it never happens here," Allimon Azamulle said.
It's unclear if anything was stolen. The man was taken to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition.
